WINNER Wins 2014 MAMA New Artist Award
[스타뉴스 홍콩=문완식, 길혜성 윤성열 이지현 기자] YG’s WINNER was honored to be awarded the New Artist Award at the 2014 Mnet Asian Music Awards, a music ceremony held at the end of each year.
WINNER was present at the Hong Kong Asia World Expo Arena on Dec 3 to receive the award.
They commented, “We are so grateful that we were rewarded with this special trophy that we wanted so badly. We especially thank Mr Yang, and CEO YANG MIN SUK, the staffers and the fans for having faith in us.”
WINNER garnered much popularity with their debut album “2014 S/S,” sweeping across many charts and programs.
The 2014 MAMA is based on artists who released an album or singles between Oct 23, 2013 to Oct 27, 2014. The final champions of each award are determined by viewers vote, expert judges’ evaluation, preference research by a specialized research institution, copies of albums or songs sold, overall digital song sales and the committee judges’ evaluation.
