GD·TAEYANG·EXO to Appear at ‘2014 MAMA’
[OSEN=선미경 기자] G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and EXO have been confirmed to appear at ‘2014 MAMA.’
MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards), whose aim is to bring people around the world with music, is the largest music award ceremony in Asia. And it is scheduled to take place on Dec. 3 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong’s largest concert arena. Anticipation is rising as G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and EXO have confirmed their attendance.
Music fans around the world are excited to see G-DRAGON at 2014 MAMA, as his spectacular performances and unique fashion style are one of the contributing factors of the Korean pop culture gaining popularity overseas. Releasing a full-length album as a soloist this year and producing a hit with his title song ‘EYES, NOSE, LIPS,’ TAEYANG is also appearing at the MAMA ceremony along with EXO, a boy group who enjoyed enormous popularity with their song ‘Addiction.’
At 6 p.m. on the 27th of this month, ‘2014 MAMA’ disclosed the candidates and started the voting on its official website. There are 17 areas of awards in total: 5 awards for singers, 8 awards for different genres, 2 special awards, ‘UnionPay Singer of This Year’ and ‘UnionPay Song of This Year.’ These categories encompass popular artists and still-much-talked about performances of this year. The vote is closed at midnight of Dec. 3.
Now, all eyes are on who else will join ‘2014 MAMA.’
