YG’s New Boy Group iKON to Appear in BIGBANG’s Concert in Japan
[OSEN=김사라 기자] iKON, a new boy group produced by YG ENTERTAINMENT, is going to appear in ‘BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2014’ as a guest singer.
iKON is going to take part in the concert after ‘MIX & MATCH’ goes off the air. ‘MIX & MATCH’ is a program where the members of WIN B TEAM, who lost at ‘WHO IS NEXT: WIN,’ and 3 trainees of YG compete with one another to be selected as the iKON members. The program is aimed at ‘mixing’ each member’s charms, skills and personality for the best ‘match’ for the team.
Anticipation is rising for iKON, four of whose members are yet to be decided: B.I, BOBBY and KIM JIN HWAN have already been selected as the group’s members.
The 9 contestants now appearing in ‘MIX & MATCH’ are scheduled to have meetings with their fans in Korea, China and Japan, where the votes to select the iKON members will take place. On Oct 5th, they are going to meet with their Japanese fans at ‘Dojima River Forum’ in Osaka, expected to raise anticipation and attention of the local fans before iKON appears as a guest singer in BIGBANG’s concert tour in Japan.
536,000 fans are expected to attend BIGBANG’s JAPAN DOME TOUR, which is scheduled to be held in 5 cities in Japan, starting at Nagoya Dome on Nov. 15th and 16th. Their concert will take place at Kyocera Dome, Osaka, on Nov. 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd, at Yafuoku Dome in Fukuoka on Dec. 6th and 7th, at Sapporo Dome on Dec. 20th, and finally at Tokyo Dome on Dec. 26th and 27th.
At BIGBANG’s dome tour last year, YG’s boy group WINNER appeared in the opening performance and sang ‘GO UP’ and ‘OFFICIALLY MISSING YOU,’ boasting their outstanding skills as singers and performers. The opening performance of this year’s dome tour, which is to be done by YG’s another boy group iKON, is much anticipated as well.
In the 3rd episode of ‘MIX & MATCH,’ which will be aired today, a new trainee named YANG HONG SEOK will appear, attracting the eyes of many viewers.
Aired at 11 p.m. every Thursday on channel Mnet and NAVER TVcast, ‘MIX & MATCH’ can be viewed again on TVcast and YG’s official blog.
