WINNER tops Inkigayo 2 straight weeks: 5 trophies in total
[OSEN=양지선 인턴기자] WINNER once again topped the music program Inkigayo following last week.
On SBS’s Inkigayo aired on August 31, WINNER won against Jang Beom Jun and Kara with their debut title track “EMPTY.” They topped the show 2 weeks in a row.
With the trophy in their hands, WINNER thanked YG’s YANG HYUN SUK and the fans.
“EMPTY” is a song that describes the emptiness that comes after a break-up, a joint work by TEAM B’s BOBBY and B.I while written by SONG MIN HO.
WINNER not only swept across all charts immediately after the release of their debut album “2014 S/S,” but also lined them up with several songs. In just 5 days they topped both Mnet’s M Countdown and KBS 2TV’s Music Bank. They already seized 5 trophies on 3 broadcasts.
On Inkigayo, other artists like Super Junior, Tae Min, Sistar, Kara, Secret, Bangtan Boys, Park Boram, Orange Caramel, EXID, Bestie, JJCC, Sunny Hill, Royal Pirates, 4Ten, High4, Laboum and Lip Service appeared to deliver dynamic performances.
