WINNER Sweeps the Continent… “empty” Taking No.1 on China’s QQ Chart
[마이데일리 = 전원 기자] YG Entertainment’s rookie boy group WINNER took the No.1 on popularity index rank of China’s QQ Dien Fung Chart.
“empty”, the title track of WINNER’s debut album “2014 S/S” released on the 12 this month, topped the popularity rank of China’s QQ Dien Fung chart on the 13. QQ Dien Fung chart’s popularity rank is automatically created by calculating changes in the number of streaming during a given week.
WINNER’s “empty” drew a big attention, by taking the No.1 on the chart very fast, by recording 152% of rise within 24 hours from its release. Plus, it proved WINNER’s high popularity in China, by recording total 1,796,750 cases of streaming on QQ Music as of 2pm on the 13.
“empty” is one of the double title tracks of WINNER’s debut album, which expresses an empty feeling after breakup. “WIN” Team B’s member B.I and BOBBY wrote the lyrics of the song with WINNER’s SONG MIN HO, and B.I wrote the melody, to draw much attention from fans.
Immediately after its release, the album swept the real-time charts of nine music-streaming websites in Korea. It also came under the spotlight in Korea, by sweeping daily charts of eight music websites on the 13. Now, WINNER is sweeping Chinese charts, proving their popularity in the country.
Meanwhile, WINER will unveil the performance of their double title tracks “empty” and “Color Ring”, in SBS “INKIGAYO” on the 17. They will also have an official debut performance in “YG Family Concert” of “AIA REAL LIFE : NOW FESTIVAL 2014” that will be held on the 15 at Jamsil Sports Complex’s main stadium.
