[스타뉴스 이지현 기자] America’s Billboard gave a highly positive review on world star PSY’s advance-release song “HANGOVER” by writing it is a “hilarious video.”

In its column that spotlighted the M/V released on June 9 (Korean time), it wrote, “Drunken brawling. Tipping shot glasses like dominoes. Swimming naked in fountains. Skipping around street carnivals. Wild karaoke. Kung fu in pool halls. Swirling dance beats. And, of course, Snoop Dogg.”

It posted the video and wrote, “These are just a few of the crazy antics you’ll find in PSY’s new five-minute music video for the “HANGOVER,” which debuted on YouTube Sunday evening following “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night,” a special timed to the NBA Finals’ game two match between the Heat and the Spurs. Check out the hilarious video below.”

It added, “PSY’s amusing new “HANGOVER” video arrives about two weeks after the Korean star’s video for “Gangnam Style” surpassed the two billion views mark on YouTube. Watch below if you’re feeling nostalgic. The track spent seven weeks at No. 2 on the Hot 100.”

It wrote, “’2 billion views…they are very honorable and very burdensome numbers,” PSY said via a statement. “With appreciation, I will come back soon with more joyful contents!!’”

It said, “PSY and Snoop Dogg appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night” to promote “Hangover,” which goes on sale through iTunes at 12 a.m. eastern on June 9,” and added, “Earlier this year, a report from PSY’s Korean label YG Entertainment announced that he had been working with Snoop on a new music video, in addition to K-pop star G-Dragon.”

On June 8 at 7 pm, PSY appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night” with Snoop Dogg and explained the process of collaboration. The three sang and danced to “Gangnam Style” at a bar in Los Angeles, having a joyful time.

PSY explained that he personally called Snoop Dogg to feature in his song, and since they were physically apart, they made their own parts and communicated via the Internet and the phone. When PSY said they met for the first time to film the music video, Snoop Dogg expressed his shock for filming for 18 hours without a minute of break.

PSY’s “HANGOVER” is attracting much attention for portraying the Korean drinking culture in a comical way. Cameo appearance of Snoop Dogg, BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON and 2NE1’s CL is adding to the hype.

All eyes are on PSY as he will be releasing a new summer single “DADDY” as well.
