PSY-Maroon 5-Juck Lee-Nell Stand on the Stage of “City Break”

[조이뉴스24 = 장진리기자] PSY and Maroon 5 have confirmed their performance for “City Break”.

PSY and Maroon 5 have put their names on the 1st lineup of “Hyundai Card City Break 2014” (“City Break”) that will be held on August 9 and 10 at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

The venue for “City Break” has switched to World Cup Stadium and total three large stages will be installed in the main stadium, secondary stadium, and parking lot at West Gate. More than 30 teams including world-famous artists and recognized Korean musicians will give special performances.

Maroon 5, one of the “bands Koreans love the most”, come to Korea again in two years for “City Break”. Notably, Maroon Five comes to Korea only for their performance for “City Break”, unlike other foreign artists who usually come to Korea as part of their Asia tour. Maroon 5 has recently not given performances to work on their new album.

“Global singer” PSY will also stand of the stage of “City Break” as a head-liner. Fans’ expectations for “City Break” are all the more heightening, as it is known that PSY alone will give 80-minute-long performance like his own concert. He has swept the world with “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman” so far.

Notably, as PSY and Maroon 5 competed fiercely for the top place of Billboard chart two years ago, the encounter of the two teams is drawing a bigger attention.

Richie Sambora, rock band Bon Jovi’s guitarist and American rock icon, has also confirmed his performance for “City Break”. Among Korean musicians, Juck Lee and band Nell put their name on the lineup.

Juck Lee, who received a rave review for his solo album “The Meaning of Solitude” released last year, and Korea’s leading modern rock band Nell will catch the eyes and ears of the audience on the stage of City Break, with their colorful performances.

Meanwhile, the early-bird reservation for “City Break” will begin on the 21 this month, and general reservation will be opened on June 3.
