[스포츠경향=안병길 기자] YG’s BABYMONSTER has hit a new milestone with the performance video for ‘DRIP,’ a double title track from their debut full-length album, breaking 100 million views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment, the ‘DRIP’ performance video surpassed 100 million views early this morning at 4:52 AM. This achievement comes approximately 148 days after its release on November 5 last year.

The video has been highly praised for capturing the essence of performance that isn’t visible in the already 200 million-viewed music video. It features powerful full-body choreography that explodes with energy, stylish gestures that mimic flowing grace, and an overflow of vigor from the members.

With this, BABYMONSTER now boasts a total of nine videos exceeding 100 million views. They have set remarkable records for a K-pop girl group debut song, reaching 100 million views in 10 days and 200 million views in 33 days. Their official music videos for ‘SHEESH’ (300 million views), ‘BATTER UP’ (300 million views), ‘CLIK CLAK’ (100 million views), ‘FOREVER’ (100 million views), and ‘Stuck In The Middle’ (100 million views) have achieved similar milestones.

The ‘DRIP’ track itself has also seen impressive results. It peaked at 16th on the Billboard Global (Excl. U.S.) and 30th on the Billboard Global 200, marking personal bests. Moreover, its parent album [DRIP] made its debut on the main ‘Billboard 200’ chart at 149th. In Korea, it has been charting for an extended period on major music charts including the Melon TOP100.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER’s first world tour, the ‘2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR,’ is underway. Having successfully completed concerts in Seoul, Newark, Los Angeles, Kanagawa, and Aichi, they are set to begin their performance in Osaka today. The tour, now expanded to include new dates in North America, will meet fans in a total of 20 cities across 32 shows globally.
