GD·2NE1·TREASURE·BAEMON! YG Family Set to Dazzle at the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon
[OSEN=지민경 기자] From G-DRAGON to 2NE1, the YG Family is set to unite at the “2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon” in Incheon.
On December 11th, SBS announced that G-DRAGON will be performing at the festival scheduled for December 25th at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon. This marks G-DRAGON’s first appearance at the “SBS Gayo Daejeon” since performing with BIGBANG in 2016, eight years ago. Having recently released hit singles “POWER” and “HOME SWEET HOME,” which dominated major music charts, G-DRAGON is slated to meet fans again at this year-end event, following his performance at the “2024 MAMA Awards” at Kyocera Dome Osaka on November 23rd.
Notably, this year’s “SBS Gayo Daejeon” will also feature performances by G-DRAGON, 2NE1, TREASURE, and BABYMONSTER, bringing together both veteran and new YG artists, heightening anticipation.
Celebrating their 15th debut anniversary, 2NE1 has returned in full force, starting with their November concert “2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN SEOUL” and currently touring Asia. It has been ten years since their last “K-Pop Festival” performance in 2014, and expectations are high for 2NE1’s powerful stage presence.
TREASURE has also confirmed their first terrestrial TV year-end stage appearance in four years since the “SBS Gayo Daejeon in DAEGU” in 2020. Known for their unique live performance skills, TREASURE has established themselves as “performance artists,” promising to solidify their presence further at this festival.
According to YG, “In addition to ‘LAST NIGHT’ promotions, TREASURE hopes to connect with fans in various ways, and we are preparing a heartfelt stage for ‘SBS Gayo Daejeon,’ so please look forward to it.” BABYMONSTER, who debuted in April and quickly became known for their monster-like live performance skills, will also make their debut and this year’s only domestic year-end stage appearance. Fans are eagerly anticipating BABYMONSTER’s newly arranged “DRIP” performance.
YG stated, “We have prepared a special stage to express our gratitude to the fans who have supported us throughout our debut year. Expect a more powerful performance and energy to heat up the year-end.”
With YG’s senior and junior artists performing side by side at the “2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon,” the excitement among K-pop fans is palpable. Known for their reliable live performances, the anticipation is building to see what legendary stages these artists will deliver at this year-end event.
