At 6 PM today, the group (CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN) released their new digital single ‘LAST NIGHT’ along with its music video.
‘LAST NIGHT’ is a dance track that combines TREASURE’s signature bright and refreshing energy with a warm emotional touch, crafted with genuine lyrics by members ASAHI, CHOI HYUN SUK, YOSHI, and HARUTO. This comeback, seven months after their ‘KING KONG’ release in May, marks a 180-degree transformation in concept and musical style, aiming to captivate more global fans.
YG Entertainment expressed, “Fans will be able to feel the unique and honest charm that is embedded in TREASURE’s music. The members are determined to make this winter meaningful and warm, alongside their fans, with various content and activities planned.”
The accompanying music video begins with TREASURE speeding along a road at dusk. The members are seen freely running across a green field in casual attire and enjoying fireworks under the night sky, creating a romantic atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression. The video, reminiscent of a cinematic storyline coupled with a sensory aesthetic, captures moments of romance and freedom, providing viewers with a pleasant thrill.
The song lyrics evoke the youthful excitement of love and beautifully shining moments everyone can relate to, “The one star in the night / seems to be shining brighter / For me your side-profile shines brighter / than the stars, My Baby / The deepening night / The night the moon and stars were jealous of you / I’m the Romeo who serves you tonight.”
As cozy as the message embedded in the song, the members’ vocals smoothly decorate the melody with delicate emotional expressions, high notes that stretch boldly, catchy hooks, distinctive vocal tones, and rhythmic rapping, all intricately linked to catch the ear at every moment.
The performance is another highlight, with globally recognized dance crews KINJAZ and MOTF collaborating to hint at a high-quality result. The choreography, using hand gestures and movements that intuitively express the lyrics, adds a strong addictive quality to the song.
Meanwhile, YANG HYUN SUK, the Executive Director, has announced TREASURE’s plan for 2025 starting with this single, including a mini-album in February and a full album between July and August.
