“YG Family Mobilization”… YANG HYUN SUK Announces Plans for TREASURE to BLACKPINK
[이데일리 스타in=윤기백 기자] YANG HYUN SUK, the executive producer at YG Entertainment, has caught the public’s attention by revealing TREASURE’s comeback schedule and an active plan for 2025.
On December 2, YG Entertainment posted ‘TREASURE News & 2025 YG Plan’ on its official blog.
The title of TREASURE’s new digital single set to be released on the 5th is ‘LAST NIGHT’. YANG HYUN SUK has pre-released this track and shared a detailed promotion plan that includes a mini-album in February next year and a full album between July and August. He promised, “Next year, we will strive to engage in many activities that we couldn’t do this year.”
It appears that fans can expect to see a different charm from TREASURE, who have previously captivated with their intense charisma and explosive performance. YANG HYUN SUK mentioned, “TREASURE is trying to present a different, unique concept and we are preparing an album that can express their sincere emotions and be more approachable to everyone.”
Significant changes within TREASURE have also been forecasted. Starting from January 1st next year, JUNKYU and ASAHI will take over the leadership roles from CHOI HYUN SUK and PARK JEONG WOO, guiding the team. As a group of ten members, these changes aim to create a richer group identity through various attempts and transformations. TREASURE is set to announce their new beginning with a special event in March and a world tour starting in October to reach as many global fans as possible.
In addition, an aggressive activity roadmap has been unveiled for other YG artists like BABYMONSTER, WINNER, AKMU, and BLACKPINK’s world tours. YANG HYUN SUK said, “There are quite a few trainees in YG waiting to debut. We will announce the specific debut dates later,” also heightening anticipation for the launch of new groups.
