BABYMONSTER’s ‘LIKE THAT’ Performance Video Teaser Heats Up Fan Reactions
[OSEN=강서정 기자] Newcomer girl group BABYMONSTER from YG Entertainment has heightened global fans’ expectations with a modern-styled performance video for ‘LIKE THAT’.
On May 27, YG Entertainment posted the ‘BABYMONSTER – ‘LIKE THAT’ TEASER’ on their official social media. The teaser, set to fully unveil on May 31 at midnight, previews the concept of the exclusive performance video.
Under simple lighting, BABYMONSTER overwhelmed the viewers with poses and walking reminiscent of strutting down a runway. Styled in chic black and white suits, their charismatic gazes and expressive performances made it impossible to look away.
Fans have been particularly explosive in their reactions to this new charm, distinct from BABYMONSTER’s previous energetic and hip-hop charismatic aspects. The matured aura they now exude has everyone eager to see what kind of transformation will captivate both the eyes and ears of their fans.
This ‘LIKE THAT’ performance video was specially produced to reciprocate the love of BABYMONSTER’s global fans. Differing from the title track ‘SHEESH’, this well-received song features the members’ smooth vocals and rapping over a sensual beat, earning high praise from music fans.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is currently conducting their first fan meeting tour, ‘[BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE]’, spanning five cities with seven sessions. Having successfully completed their first performance in Tokyo with all tickets sold out, they will continue on to Jakarta on June 8, Singapore on June 15, Taipei on June 23, and Bangkok on June 29 and 30. In August, they are set to participate in Japan’s largest music festival, ‘SUMMER SONIC 2024’, as part of their expanding global activities.
