YG’s BABYMONSTER Presents Overwhelming Group Dance in ‘BATTER UP’ Dance Practice Video

On December 13th, YG Entertainment released the ‘BABYMONSTER – ‘BATTER UP’ DANCE PRACTICE VIDEO’ on their official social media. Unlike their previous performance contents with lavish set backgrounds, this video captures them in a rehearsal studio, highlighting their natural yet confident charm.
As the song begins, their unique hip aura fills the practice room where BABYMONSTER has been tirelessly sweating it out. Dressed in comfortable training wear, they showed a relaxed demeanor while delivering a powerful and dynamic performance.
Despite the casual atmosphere, the explosive energy of the six members immediately captivated the viewers. Their perfectly synchronized movements within constantly changing formations seemed as if they were one body, and the point choreography, which includes swinging a bat and looking over the fence in the chorus, left a strong impact with its detailed expressiveness.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER has been making a mark on various global charts since releasing ‘BATTER UP’ at midnight on November 27. The song quickly climbed to the top of the iTunes charts in 21 countries upon its debut, reaching the top ranks of the worldwide chart. It also secured 101st and 49th places on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S charts, respectively. On Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, it broke the record for the fastest K-pop girl group debut song to reach 10 million streams in just ten days.
The popularity of the music video is also immense. It topped the global YouTube daily popular chart for five consecutive days and also conquered the weekly chart. The music video set a new record for K-pop group debut with 22.59 million views in a single day, surpassing 50 million views in about four days. Currently, it is racing towards the 100 million views milestone, having already surpassed 90 million views.
