Introduction Video of BABYMONSTER PHARITA Unveiled…Thai Girl Who Entered YG With 1226:1 Competition Rate
[스타뉴스=최혜진 기자] YG unveiled the second introduction video for their new rookie group BABYMONSTER.
On the 13th, YG put up a video titled ‘BABYMONSTER- Introducing PHARITA’ on their official social media. Following RUKA, who went first, PHARITA, a 17-year-old Thai member was unveiled this time around.
PHARITA was chosen among 1226 applicants for an audition to become a YG trainee. She had visuals that looked like a Disney cartoon character and outstanding physicals. Her big dance moves using her physical strengths were enough to steal the hearts of viewers.
PHARITA was known to be the trainee who made people look forward to her tomorrow because she absorbed everything quickly and showed exponential growth. She said “I’m finding excitement in the process of learning and I want to dance with more charisma on stage”, expressing her passion through a customized dance lesson with YGX LEEJUNG.
PHARITA is an all-rounder who can perform and sing with amazing vocals. She was complimented on her performances during monthly evaluations, as she could control her vocals freely and go back and forth with her strengths. She showed her determination to become an artist by saying, “I flew all the way from Thailand, 3600km away, to make my dream come true. That’s how much I want this and I really want to perform on stage after debuting.”
Out of the practice room, PHARITA was just an ordinary 17-year-old teenager. She was so happy to see other members prepare a birthday party for her and even showed tears after video calling her family in Thailand. YG Executive Producer said, “I felt really sorry and was worried about PHARITA because she had to leave her family behind and come to this foreign country, but she’s started to gain confidence these days and has been smiling a lot.” He showed his expectations toward her by saying “Once she gets used to the country more, she’ll spread her wings widely”.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is a rookie girl-group YG is launching in 7 years since BLACKPINK. It’s consisted of 3 Korean members (AHYEON, HARAM, RORA), 2 Thai members (PHARITA, CHIQUITA), and 2 Japanese members (RUKA, ASA).
