YG Entertainment (YG) revealed its teaser advertisement for the new mega project on May 6. Now many are keen to know who would be the next Psy.

On the official blog of YG (www.yg-life.com), an image with a phrase “WHO’S NEXT?” was posted, along with “2013.05.28” written beneath it. And in the background names of the agency’s big hits like BigBang, 2NE1, Kang Seung-yoon, Epik High and more were listed.

This ‘ta-da’ style is just what Yang Hyun-suk, the CEO of the agency, likes to do. As he wants this to be a big surprise, the singer in veil is completely hidden. Some predict it could be BigBang and 2NE1 as they did not release any new songs for the last one year because of their busy World Tour schedule in 2012. Or there is a new girl group from YG who will make their debut soon. Or it could be G-Dragon’s or other BigBang members’ new solo song, which is meant to be completed soon.

YG focused on producing the first regular album for Lee Hi, who made its debut by being on SBS’s talent show program K-Pop Star. And YG was busy helping Psy, who became a global mega hit with “Gangnam Style” after joining the agency. The agency spent most of its time preparing for the mega-hit’s follow-up, “Gentleman.”

Many from the music industry have been paying a close attention to what the YG artists are up to when Psy’s new song entered its wrapping-up stage in South Korea. Personnel from YG said, “our expectations are high as our artists have been preparing diligently and the veil will be slowly uncovered beginning May 28.”
