TREASURE’S BOY M/V Reaches 100 million Views…First Feat since Debut

[OSEN=지민경 기자] The M/V for YG mega group TREASURE’s ‘BOY’ reached 100 million views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on the 9th, the M/V for TREASURE’s ‘BOY’ surpassed 100 million views on YouTube as of 8:46 a.m. of the day.

As this is the best record TREASRUE has reached so far, it holds great significance. The group succeeded in having an M/V with more than 100 million views for the first time, showing how much love their receiving from their global fandom.

‘BOY’ is the title song of TREASURE’s first single album ‘THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE’. Characteristics that stand out from the song are strong tracks and a dance break drop, along with synthesizers that brings even more tension to the song showing great harmony with the base and drum sounds.

The song topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 19 different countries when it was first released, and took the number one spot on Japan’s biggest music site Line Music’s Top 100 Daily Chart, Rakuten Music Live Ranking, and AWA’s Trending Chart.

The M/V for ‘BOY’ reached 1 million views in 26 hours since release, and then reached 20 million views in just 6 days, drawing enthusiastic responses from fans all around the world. TREASURE’s very own teen-crush charms along with on-spot group choreography took over the hearts of global fans.

Meanwhile, TREASURE released a series album ‘THE FIRST STEP’ in a row after having their debut in August last year. They sold more than 1 million copies and swept the Rookie of The Year awards in major music awards. They recently hinted on a comeback by showing themselves recording a new song through their own VLOG content ‘TMI-LOG’, making fans’ heart pound and look forward to their future activities.
