JINU of WINNER to be Enlisted on April 2… Will Serve as a Public Service Worker
[마이데일리 = 양유진 기자] JINU of boy group WINNER will leave society for a while to serve his military duties as a citizen of Korea.
According to YG Entertainment on March 27, JINU will enter the ROK Military Training Center, Nonsan on April 2.
JINU will receive 4 weeks of basic military training and will serve as a public service worker in a designated organization.
JINU let the fans know about this fact first. JINU uploaded a handwritten letter on WINNER’s fan club zone and passed on his sincerity.
JINU wrote, “I’ll be away from Inner Circle(WINNER’s fan club) for a while, but will be back proud and healthy”. He added, “I’m happy that the present-like album for you and us(WINNER) can be released more than anything. I’m happy that we can listen to it together”.
He continued, “We still have good moments left, so let’s laugh and stay happy. I couldn’t express as much as I received, but my fans are my no. 1 priority. Also, my brothers(WINNER) who really became part of my family, I thank you and I love you, always”.
WINNER, the group JINU is part of, swept no. 1 positions on music charts in and out of Korea through their pre-release title song ‘Hold’, released on the 26th.
WINNER’s third full album ‘Remember’, containing a total of 12 tracks including the title song, will be released on April 9.
WINNER has received love from global fans through their broad music spectrum. The people are looking forward to the message WINNER have put in their upcoming album, which will be released prior to JINU’s enlistment.
YG Entertainment noted, “WINNER will not be able to promote their song ‘Hold’ and their album ‘Remember’ through music broadcasts, but the group has worked harder than ever to finish their upcoming full album. We hope that WINNER’s devotion will be a small comfort for the fans”.
