‘TREASURE MAP’ YG’s Rookie Group TREASURE Challenges on Living a Day Without Smartphones… Builds Great Teamwork
[OSEN=김은애 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE went on a mission without smartphones, while building great teamwork.
On February 7 at 12 PM, YG Entertainment uploaded episode 4 of ‘TREASURE MAP’ through their official blog and TREASURE’s official YouTube channel.
On the 4th episode of ‘TREASURE MAP’, the show spared time to find out and inspect the members’ smartphone addiction levels. During the preliminary interview, members YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, PARK JEONG WOO, DOYOUNG, and JUNKYU confidently stated that they are not addicted to smartphones, while the show observed TREASURE’s daily lives to find out whether it’s true.
Members of TREASURE could not get their hands off their smartphones during their daily lives. To figure out their actual conditions, a smartphone addiction test of typing a given sentence with the eyes closed was performed. The members failed to write a correct sentence except for 2 members. The show then showed TREASURE members gathering on a bus that left for an unknown place.
While the group arrived at a villa in Incheon, their smartphones were locked inside a box. TREASURE held a so-called ‘smartphone addiction cure health retreat’, receiving a lunch mission which they had to answer without using search engines through smartphones.
The members had to figure out the address of the villa, YG’s new headquarters address, and the phone number for the fried chicken restaurant located near the villa without a smartphone, just using hints written on paper located in and out of the villa. TREASURE divided into 2 teams of 6 and struggled to find hints.
While thoroughly searching for hints, the members were frustrated by ‘fake’ hint papers, making the viewers burst into laughter. While they were continuing to make wrong answers, team CHOI HYUN SUK(CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, JUNKYU, YOON JAE HYUK, DOYOUNG, PARK JEONG WOO) successfully answered all 3 questions and cheered.
2 chickens were supplied for the winning team as lunch, while the team that lost had to eat salad, presenting a mukbang of mingled feelings. During the bonus time, ASAHI was given a 5-minute carb voucher for being the fastest member to drink 2L of water, which gave him joy.
‘TREASURE MAP’ contains the story of 12 creators searching towards the subscribers’ hearts(treasure). The viewers can meet TREASURE’s genuine aspects during their daily lives. ‘TREASURE MAP’ is uploaded every Friday at 12 PM, once a week.
