WINNER You Trust and Listen to Even During Autumn, Sweeps No. 1 on iTunes Charts in 23 Different Regions
[뉴스엔=황혜진 기자] You trust and listen to them, even during autumn. Group WINNER(YOON, JINU, MINO, HOONY) dominated iTunes charts overseas.
On October 23 at 6 PM, WINNER released their 3rd mini album titled ‘CROSS’ through Korean and global music platforms. The album was released in 5 months since the released their second mini album titled ‘WE’.
After consistently working on creating music despite their busy schedules including an Asia tour and various events in and out of Korea, WINNER bore fruit of their ‘hard work’ by achieving their goal of ‘making 2 comebacks in 1 year’.
The album, created with great effort, is receiving heated support from music fans worldwide. As of October 23rd,11 PM, the day of its release, ‘CROSS’ topped iTunes ‘Top Album’ charts in 23 different countries and regions including Hong Kong, Chile, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, Argentina, Bolivia, and Cambodia. This surely proves WINNER’s global popularity.
The title song ‘SOSO’, written and composed by YOON, was ranked at no. 1 on the real time charts of Bugs and Soribada as of today at 11 PM. The song entered the charts of Genie and Olleh Music as no. 14 and jumped to no. 7, while entering Melon as no. 18 and jumping to no. 14. The song is steadily going up the rank ladder in various music charts.
In addition to the statistical success, their musical change also grabs the people’s attention. In addition to ‘SOSO’, the album is filled with tracks in various genres including ‘OMG’ and ‘DRESS UP’ written and composed by YOON, HOONY’s first-ever solo track titled ‘FLAMENCO’, YOON’s solo track being presented in 6 years titled ‘WIND’, and ‘DON’T BE SHY’ produced by MINO.
As the group has established their own genre by participating in the writing and composing of all songs from their debut album, the members captured their transformation and growth by participating in the composing and writing of all tracks in their latest album as well.
They will perform their new songs for the first time through their concert. On October 26th at 7 PM and on the 27th at 4 PM, WINNER will hold the ‘WINNER [CROSS] TOUR IN SEOUL’ in Seoul KSPO DOME(Olympic Gymnastics Arena) to meet their fans. The group will present their first-ever live performance in collaboration with a live band in Korea. The fact that each day’s concert with sub-titles ‘X’ and ‘+’ will have different set lists is also a point to look out for. ‘X’ symbolizes the title of the concert, ‘CROSS’.
After performing in Seoul for two days, the group will go on an Asia tour and is scheduled to perform in Taipei, Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Singapore.
