BLACKPINK Reveals ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ MV Behind Stories
[일간스포츠=김진석 기자] BLACKPINK(JENNIE·LISA·ROSÉ·JISOO) revealed a MV making film containing behind-the-scenes of the ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ MV shooting scene.
On April 6 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded the MV making film of ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, the title song of BLACKPINK’s EP album through their official blog.
The diverse styling which reminded people of strong female warriors grabbed the viewers’ attention in an instant. JENNIE introduced the new song herself by stating, “We came back with ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, a song composed of a strong beat and epic lead sounds”.
After presenting a cereal-spreading performance in the MV, LISA stated, ‘I’m expressing my love for instant foods through cereal. I came to take love’, revealing the hidden meaning. LISA chose the ‘chorus part’ as the killing part of ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, raising expectations on their upcoming performance through the powerful cannon choreography.
JENNIE presented a two-shot with LISA and showed perfect harmony and teamwork while stating, “We have nothing to worry about since we connect just by looking at each other”.
ROSÉ presented her first driving act and expressed her surprises by stating, “I said I want to drive on the concept meeting. I was surprised that the director made it look real cool, like a movie”. On the fire-arrow shooting performance, JISOO explained, “I’m shooting fire arrows at myself from the future since I can’t stand my current weak-self”. The members who were battling the dust with the explosive scene during the group shooting revealed their satisfaction by stating, “It came out really cool”.
BLACKPINK’s ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, released on the 5th at 0 AM, topped iTunes Single charts in 36 countries including the US, the place with the largest public music market in the world. Furthermor, the group notified the return of the K-Pop queens by topping iTunes music charts in Korea and Japan.
