US Billboard, “BLACKPINK Hits New K-Pop YouTube Record With 20 Million Subscribers”

[스타뉴스=한해선기자] Girl group BLACKPINK surpassed 20 million subscribers on YouTube for the first time among all groups of K-Pop.
Billboard, the well-known music magazine of the US, spotlighted BLACKPINK surpassing 20 million YouTube subscribers on March 21(local time) by publishing an article titled, ‘BLACKPINK Hits New K-Pop YouTube Record With 20 Million Subscribers’.
Through the article, Billboard emphasized, “According to YouTube, BLACKPINK’s official YouTube channel hit 20 million subscribers” and added, “BLACKPINK is the first K-pop act to hit 20 million subscribers on their official channel”. In addition, Billboard praised BLACKPINK by writing “BLACKPINK is one of 20 artists to ever hit the 20 million subscriber milestone. With the new record, BLACKPINK just reached another milestone on their road to total pop-culture domination”.
BLACKPINK received the ‘Diamond Creator Award’ by surpassing 10 million YouTube subscribers for the first time as a K-Pop girl group back in July 2018. The group added another 10 million subscribers in approximately 8 months, setting another milestone on YouTube.
After recently completing their Asia tour, BLACKPINK will continue their global act with a large-scale world tour which follows up to North America, Europe, and Australia. All 60 thousand tickets for the group’s concerts in 6 cities of North America were sold out, leading the group to add 2 additional concerts and confirming a total of 8 concerts in 6 cities of North America, proving the group’s amazing ticket power.
