Real Visual Battle on ‘YG TREASURE BOX’… KIM JUN KYU vs HARUTO, an ‘Eye Feast Match’
[OSEN=박소영 기자] KIM JUN KYU and HARUTO, YG’s ‘visual treasures’, will reveal their outstanding skills that are on par with their visuals.
The second preview of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ episode 2 was revealed through VLIVE (V App) today (23rd) at 11 AM. The individual performances of KIM JUN KYU of Treasure A and HARUTO of Treasure J were previewed.
HARUTO and KIM JUN KYU battled each other one on one for the honor of their group, while receiving the support of other teammates. The scene was tense even before the battle began, as the two were both regarded as ‘visual members’.
KIM JUN KYU look worried as he compared his fist to HARUTO’s face size while stating, “His face is too small”.
HARUTO raised expectations by revealing his determination prior to his battle with KIM JUN KYU.
Unlike his metrosexual looks, HARUTO grabbed the trainees’ attention in an instant with his heavy low-tone rap. YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK also got into the rhythm of his rap while making a satisfactory smile.
KIM JUN KYU also presented his performance skills trained through hard work and practice. His vocals were on par with his handsome looks. He also grabbed the people’s attention with his confidence, shown by walking towards the judge panel while singing.
Treasure A with KIM JUN KYU is a group with trainees with an average of 4 years of training, equipped with solid skills and talents. The members include KIM JUN KYU, BANG YE DAM, CHOI HYUN SUK, LEE BYOUNG GON, KIM SEUNG HUN, KIM DO YOUNG, and LEE MI DAM.
Treasure J is composed of trainees from ‘YG JAPAN’, YG’s Japan branch. YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK has introduced them by stating, “These are the trainees I’ve been hiding for a long time. The 7 members have been consistently training in ‘YG JAPAN’”. The members of Treasure J include HARUTO, KEITA, YOSHINORI, ASAHI, MAHIRO, MASHIHO, and KOTARO.
‘YG TREASURE BOX’ is a survival program to select members for a new idol group that will follow the legacy of BIGBANG, WINER, and iKON in 4 years. The program will select members among 29 trainees and will present YG’s differentiated production know-hows and internal system accumulated for the past 22 years.
The first episode of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ almost reached 2 million views on VLIVE and YouTube, proving the program’s upward trend and the heated interest towards YG’s next generation boy group.
The program will be consisted of 10 episodes, while the 2nd episode will pre-release on the 23rd at 10 PM through VLIVE and air on the same night at 12 AM through JTBC2 and YouTube.
