‘YG TREASURE BOX’ Enters the Final Stage in Tears… YANG HYUN SUK “9 Out of 20 Will Drop Out”

On January 11 at 11 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded the preview of the 9th episode of ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, containing the tears of the 11 finalists and the trainees who had to remain.
In the video, YG’s representative producer YANG HYUN SUK revealed, “9 out of the total 20 trainees will drop out”, while the trainees in the waiting room started to seem stirred up. There will be a total of 11 trainees who will advance to the final round. The rule states that 3 People from the 2nd team, 2 people from the 3rd team, and 1 person from the 4th team will advance to the finals.
The last trainee to advance to the next stage was determined. On Representative YANG’s words, “You all did great”, the trainees cried their eyes out while hugging each other. The trainees who worked hard for the same dream cried for each other since they knew each other’s hard work and sweat.

This record resulted from analyzing 185 non-drama programs from December 31 until January 6 and proved the heated interest on the program by the Korean fans.
Furthermore, ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, consisted of 10 episodes, surpassed a total of 85 million accumulated views on VLIVE and YouTube in just 8 episodes. The number of subscribers also increased rapidly from 130 thousand at the time of the first episode to 740 thousand. In addition to the fans in Korea, fans from all over the world including Japan, Philippines, and Indonesia are paying keen attention on the birth of YG’s next generation boy group.
Unlike existing debut survival programs, ‘YG TREASURE BOX’ reveals YG’s actual music producing know-hows and its internal system accumulated for the past 22 years, revealing the birth process of a new group’s creation without censorship.
